Cork City and County Archives is the designated archives service for local authorities in the Cork region. Collections include those of defunct local authorities and their successors. Records found include: minute books recording meetings and decisions, files, correspondence, financial records, registers, reports, legal documents, maps plans and drawings, and photographs.

Major collections include: 

Cork City Council (formerly Cork Corporation) (1710), 1867 - 1986

Cork Boards of Health and Public Assistance, 1925-1960. (Access restrictions apply).

Cork County Council, 1899 - 1974

Cork Poor Law Unions (workhouse boards of guardians) 1838-1925 for the Cork region.

Grand Jury, Cork County, 1834 - 1898
