To mark Archives Awareness Month, we mounted a successful joint exhibition with Boole Library Archives and University Archives, entitled ‘Town, Gown and County’, at Cork Vision Centre.
The descriptive listing of Chillingworth & Levie Architectural Drawings is well under way. This collection consists of over 2000 drawings and plans of housing developments and commercial premises, mainly in the Cork area, dating from about 1911 up to 1965. The drawings are being cleaned, listed and then stored in archival map folders.
The Archives Institute is delighted to hear from those with information about any archives, including family material, which are relevant to the history of Cork City or County.
