About the Workshops

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from expert historians, artists, and archivists about the 1912-1923 revolutionary period. Participants will learn about researching at the archives, where to source secondary information, and how to interpret historical documents. Historical topics considered will include an examination of the contributions of Barry and Fawsitt to Ireland's fight for independence, and the wider social and economic history of the city and the revolutionary period.

The Workshops are supported through the Cork Creative Ireland Team and the Creative Ireland Programme, an all-of-government five year initiative, from 2017 to 2022, which places creativity at the centre of public policy. Further information from creativeireland.gov.ie and Ireland.ie .
